The lodges are composed of four Tuscany-style furnished apartments, which are fully equipped with all comforts. They have been obtained from the farmhouse, part of Vescona castle, which, in the 11th century, was property of the Signoria of Guinigi della Scialenga and della Berardenga's earls.

The landscape is moonlike; clayey hills and spectacular calanchi, without any kind of high trunk vegetation.
